SIOEO: National Examination Management Platform (GovTech)

Government-scale platform for managing nationwide exams. I worked as the UX Architect & Business Analyst, translating complex administrative rules into usable workflows, designing the multi-module system structure and aligning business stakeholders with the ministry’s technical teams.

2017-2018

SIOEO was a mission-critical GovTech project for national and regional examination boards responsible for organising and supervising high-stakes exams across the entire country. The system replaced fragmented legacy tools with one integrated platform supporting scheduling, examiner coordination, accommodations, permissions, workflows and multi-step administrative processes.

My role combined UX architecture and designs with Business Analysis. I collaborated with domain experts, facilitated workshops and collected requirements from ministry officials and technical teams. Also, my role was to model the underlying rules, map existing processes and turn them into a coherent system logic. Final deliverables were pixel-perfect designs and prototypes for the development team in several modules i.e. Roles and permissions, Examination, Exam-creator, Special exam accommodations, and more.

I designed the multi-module UX structure, prepared functional specifications and acted as the mediator between business requirements and technical constraints.

Each module was first presented and tested with the actual power user teams before the final technical handoff as a part of a backlog item for the development team.

The designs had to meet WCAG 2.0 requirements for the entire platform and be a cohesive experience throughout multiple systems that structure education-related data for multiple government agendas.

This was my first enterprise-scale project, and I am proud that my work contributed to a process that touches every student in Poland year after year.
